INVITATION TO THE 7th INTERNATIONAL TAX CONFERENCE – LAGOS 2021
On behalf of the West African Union of Tax Institutes (WAUTI), we are pleased to invite you and others from your organization to participate at the 7th International Tax Conference of the Union.
The conference is scheduled for Thursday 25th and Friday 26th February 2021, at Sheraton Lagos Hotel, 30 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland, Lagos with the theme ‘‘Designing and Implementing Tax Measures for the COVID-19 era and beyond’’.
Papers to be delivered in the course of the conference are:
- Effective tax measures for the COVID-19 era and post pandemic new normal
- Taxation of the Digital Economy: The journey so far and lessons for Africa
- African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement: The take-off and matters arising
- Taxation and development: Revisiting the social contract and the role of tax governance
The West African Union of Tax Institutes (WAUTI) is an international non-governmental organization devoted to the promotion of the taxation profession within the West African sub-region.
The WAUTI International Tax Conference was instituted as a platform for idea generation, knowledge development, networking and to discuss issues of taxation and economic development among professionals in the region.
The last edition was held in Dakar, Senegal in February 2020 and it is interesting to note that each edition of the conference attracts an average of 200 delegates spread across professionals in the public and private sector from West African countries in attendance.
As always, the Conference provides a unique opportunity for leading tax experts from corporations, governments, academia, international and national experts and advisors, as well as the regional and international organisations to discuss contemporary issues which are of great and lasting impact on our people and economies.
Conference fee per delegate:
- Physical – N100, 000 Naira (Limited slots available) Covers conference materials, tea break and lunch
- Virtual – N50, 000 Naira
Strict measures shall be implemented at the conference in line with COVID-19 guidelines. Therefore, registration will not be entertained at the venue.
